Pick the Perfect Pumpkin at These Gilbert Patches

As Halloween comes galloping up more and more quickly, it's time to break out the spooky decorations. It's the season of witches and bats, of goblins and ghouls, and of course the Halloween classic: the pumpkin. While it may still be hot in Arizona, it can still feel like Autumn with a toothy grin from a perfectly carved Jack-O-Lantern! Here are the best places to grab a gourd and have some fun around Gilbert.

Valley View Christmas Trees

Don't let the name fool you. While Valley View Christmas Trees is the go-to place for Yuletide decorations in December, in October it is a Halloween wonderland. There are locations all over, but the closest one is just a quick jaunt away over in Chandler. They carry a wide variety of pumpkins for all different uses. There are the classic tall ones just waiting to be carved, cute rounded ones that resemble Cinderella's pumpkin carriage, and even little baby pumpkins perfect for painting. They also have a photo contest you can enter by taking a picture of your favorite pumpkin scene and posting it on Instagram with the tag #ValleyViewChristmasTrees. The winner will receive a beautiful Christmas wreath for the holidays! The contest ends November 25th.

Vertuccio Farms

Vertuccio Farms is the kind of pumpkin farm you could spend hours at! They have all the farm favorites. Get lost in the 7-acre corn maze, test your skills at mini golf or pumpkin bowling, or just bounce around on the giant jump pad. If that's not enough, there is always the zip-line, spider web climb, giant tube slide, duck races, petting zoo, mule-drawn wagon ride, or mini hay maze for the little ones. And don't miss the magic show on the weekend!

Mother Nature's Farm

If you've got little kiddos, Mother Nature's Farm is the place to be this fall. This family-owned farm describes itself as a "Children's Discovery Farm," not just a pumpkin patch. Kids can take part in pumpkin decorating, feeding animals, hayrides, and more. Find a great pumpkin and even learn something along the way!
